Valentine’s Day Denver – Celebrate!

Bonbons, bubbly and roses, oh my! Spending the week in Paris, the “City of Love,” had me thinking how much I love my own city – Denver. While j’adore french macaroons and pink champagne, I am amazed at how many extraordinary sweet shops, boutiques and romantic experiences there are right here in Denver!  Denver I Love’s guide to Celebrating Valentine’s Day will have you professing not only your love for your sweetheart but for the marvelous Mile High!

SWEETS FOR YOUR SWEETIES

There is no shortage of fabulous hand crafted sweets in Denver, especially on the holiday of hearts! Here are a few favorite places to lavish your Valentine in sugar and spice:

Hand Painted Bonbons from Victoria’s Chocolates
2615 E. 3rd Avenue 💗 DENVER

Victoria’s Chocolates is first on the Valentine’s list because this precious store in Cherry Creek North is  PINK!  Victoria’s has called its blush abode home for the past three years and has developed a rosy reputation for its boozy bonbons. Each piece is beautifully hand painted in chocolate and edible adornments.   Champagne filled chocolates are a good Valentine’s Day choice,  and you might also throw in one of the popular scotch infused bonbons with edible gold leaf!

Gateaux’s Finest Sugar Cookies
1160 Speer Blvd 💗 DENVER

Denver has exploded with amazing bakeries!  However, the tried and true cookies at Gateaux Bakery are a forever stand out!  It isn’t a party in Denver without cookies from Gateaux! While custom made to order cakes, cookies and pastries are Gateaux’s specialty, there is always a tempting “ready to eat” selection in the display case on Speer Boulevard.   A few suggestions we LOVE: Valentine’s chocolate covered Oreos and red velvet cake pops!
